Outreach
Outreach Planning Meeting, this Tuesday, May 13, 6:30 p.m. Dinner will be provided.
Annual Rummage Sale next Saturday, May 17--Please start collecting your gently used clothing and household, which will be held on Saturday, May 17. This raises about $3,000 each year for our various outreach efforts, and is also a service to members of our community. Items needed (in good condition) include, but are not limited to clothing, toys, books, kitchen items, home decor and holiday items, bric-a-brac, furniture, small appliances, bikes, and athletic equipment. Please make sure anything electrical is in good working order! You may drop off your items in the Bishop's Hall during office hours. Limited pick-ups will be available for larger items. We also need volunteers to help sort items throughout the week, and to work the day of the event; watch for a signup sheet. Call Kerrie Sadler at 818-879-9507 with any questions. Thank you!
Any Soldier Packing Day, Sunday, May 18 after church.
Conejo Valley Free Meal Program - On the second Tuesday evening of every month, next month Tuesday, June 10, members of Epiphany prepare and serve dinner to those who are homeless or of very low income in our community. For info or to sign up, contact Mary Lehr (818.707.6944).
Formation
Wednesdays, continuing, May 7, 14, 21, and 28 from 7:30-9:00 p.m.
Please join us for this 5-week series, taught by the Rev. Melissa McCarthy, in which we will explore the Bible, introduce you to major Biblical themes and characters, learn historical information about how the Bible came to be, as well as gain helpful techniques for reading the Bible on your own. Designed for anyone who is interested in learning and especially for those who know absolutely nothing about the Bible, this series will be relaxed, informative, and non-threatening! Please contact the church office for more information.
The Epicenter
Epiphany’s new blog is a great way to stay connected during the busy work week! Check it out at www.epiphanyepicenter.blogspot.com or via the church website. Also, if you have not already done so, be sure to visit Epiphany’s web site (www.tcote.org) and sign up to receive regular announcements from your church.
The Sunday evening theological discussion group meets next on May 18 from 6:00 - 7:30 pm. We are reading Phyllis Tickle’s brand new book, The Words of Jesus.
Join us in the chapel for prayer, scripture and meditation on Mondays at 6:30 p.m. Please call the church office for more information.
EYG (Epiphany Youth Group) will not meet tonight, but the group is encouraged to attend the Evensong and Recital. Happy Mother’s Day!
Vacation Bible School is June 23 – 27. Sign up after church! We are also looking for volunteers to help with this fun event. It is a great way to get to know other parishioners!
